I took my boyfriend out for his birthday. The Oyster's Rockefeller was delicious. We ordered an Italian fish soup (Cioppinio or something like that). The seafood was so chewy we had to spit some of it out and there was shell and bone in the soup. The waitress did not check on us until 45 minutes into the meal. We told her it had no flavor and was chewy. She offered to get us something else but we told her we would be late for the Comedy club so would have to take our check. She came back and asked us if we wanted a box (for the food that we could not stomach, gee!). I called and talked to the manager tonight. He said he wished I had said somthing last night and wanted to know the waitress's name. He offered no compensation. I won't be going back!

Well, to start the service was terrible. My wife got the crab cake sandwich, and the crab cakes tasted like a crab may have walked by them at some point, but that was about it. I got the flounder sandwich, which was a bit bland, but the flounder was ...

I have been a patron of Captain Stanley's for several years now and can testify that the authenticity of calabash style seafood lives on here! Generally both the service and cuisine are excellent although, like any restaurant, there are busy times wh ...
