It's like eating a piece of junk. The service stunk and the California roll I ordered fell apart before I even touched it. I guess they have no pride because who sends out a California roll that isn't completely made? Never go there.

Bada Sushi is consistenly a great place to dine. Their sushi is always fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is friendly. That other person has no idea what he's talking about.
Akio's is the only place for authentic Japanese cuisine in the Conejo Valley. I have been a regular customer since the mid-80's and have had sushi all over the world. Akio's is at the top of the list.

I ate at Bada Sushi last night, and it was the most disappointing sushi meal I have had in years. I ordered salmon sushi. The pieces of fish were generous in size, but the consistency wasn't right and it didn't have much flavor. The owner tried to explain that salmon is not in season, which is not true. And the sushi bar I usually go to (which was already closed) always has fresh, succulent, delicious salmon. I ordered a spicy albacore roll, and it was sour, not spicy. I asked the sushi chef about the sour taste, and he explained that it was the "garlic ponzu sauce", which would explain the sour taste. But there was absolutely nothing spicy about the roll. For someone who really likes spicy rolls, you will not be happy. Then I ordered a salmon skin roll, tasted one piece and it was terrible. At that point, I lost interest in eating altogether, and it's going to be a while before I want to have sushi again. I can't remember the last time I disliked a sushi restaurant this much-at least since the '90's.
