The food and coffee were okay. However, the server, while preparing our food, *licked her fingers* several times, in full view of our table. When she brought the food over, I pointed out that this was a seriously bad idea. She denied doing it, and then got snotty with us, and complained loudly about us to her fellow employees. Yep, *she* complained about *us.* I'm pretty sure that putting your hands in your mouth is grounds for getting fired. It's an icky thing to do even at your own dinner party, let alone a public restaurant. Wisconsin Department of Health, are you reading this?
If you have not tried Joes - you need to. Being born and raised in Fond du Lac I know all the pizza places around and nothing compares to Joes. I live out of town now and make the trip in just to eat there. They are the best!
Best restaurant in Fond du Lac, no doubt; in fact, it may be the only really good restaurant in town. Creative, quality foods on a par with 'big city' places - Ted, the owner/chef is highly talented.
My wife and I eat here about once a week. The bartenders and servers are friendly and efficient. The food is always good and the portions plentiful. They do need to expand the beer and wine selection though.
