Restaurant Description

The Banana Docks Café opened its doors in 1990, in the Riverview Plaza on Royal Street., across from Mobile's Historic Banana Docks, which were once at the foot of Government St., on Mobile Bay. Our wall hangings depict the early days and history of Mobile. We relocated our fine café to Hillcrest and Old Shell Road in 1994, and have been continually operated and owned by Chris & Susan Raley, and Captain Jack & Susan Pollock.

We at Banana Docks, strive daily to offer our friends and customers fresh and delicious seafood, steaks, salads, and special recipes, in a clean, relaxing, and comfortable atmosphere. Chris truly enjoys preparing your selections. His seafood gumbo and southwestern chili have both received awards as "Mobile's Best"! We are certain you will enjoy them.

Whether you partake of your favorite beverage at our bar, enjoying comfortable dining inside, relax in courtyard breezes, or relish in Chris' acclaimed full catering service, it is our intention to provide you a unique and memorable dining experience.

Bon Apetit`, Cpt. Jack

The food was excellent. It was the best fried shrimp I have had in years. There were very generous portions. Very! The crawfish dipping sauce was great. The fried dishes were tasty and not heavily breaded.I can't wait to go back.
