First time here. It was excellent! chef came out to meet us, had an acoustic band playing some soft music. Very quaint, cozy atmosphere! service, Mimosas and food all excellent. Only downside, is they don't accept debit/credit cards. Just cash or checks!

We are fairly new locals and one of our first priorities when we moved here was to try all the NM cuisine in ABQ, we have accomplished that mission. We prefer the small independently owned businesses and we must say, Ben Michael's is on top. Everything on the menu has a distinct flavor that is not dominated by either red or green chile. We also appreciate Ben Michael's PR skills! He greets us like he has known us forever.
There are alot of Mexican places in ABQ but Papa Felipe's has good food and most excellent MARGARITAS. The lunch menu and happy hour specials make this place a go to for good food at a good price. Worth checking out.
Charming little renovated house turned restaurant in downtown Albuquerque. It is a cozy and clean family style Mexican restaurant with made to order sopapillas and homemade flour tortillas. Being from the east coast I have never heard of or seen any

We were visiting from Louisiana. Best food, staff, & sunset! We went 3 times. Best coconut margarita EVER. Will go there again, it is well worth the drive. Looking forward to our next trip to ABQ and Sandiago's.
This is one of the best NM restaurants in NM. The food is the closest to homeade cooking you will come to. My only complaint is that their taco beef is runny and at times their Carne is too watery as well, but the Carne tastes real good. Most of thei

If you go to any other place in New Mexico you'll find out that every other New Mexican Cuisine is 10x better than this. This Food was garbage... bottom line. (p.s. The Calabisitas were trash)

We stopped here in an RV on our way to Memphis with two college age kids, my husband and I and our 7 yr old. Ambience was great. Food was fabulous and the staff (Ben and a lovely older woman) were fantastic. My husband and I are huge fans of New Mexican cuisine. This was grest for everyone. Will go back to Albuquerque just for the restaurant.

The service is great and the food is just as good. The carne Adovada Enchiladas are a must have.
I stopped by Ben Michaels in the late afternoon and had the place to myself. our party had the rare privelege to order a la carte from Ben himself. Sitting outside under the warm new mexican sun I ate the most authentic NM cuisine I have ever encountered. perfect proportions, nice presentation,Just enough of a dark red sauce to satisfy. The Rellenos were exceptional. The place is very small, but it suited me perfectly. Harry-owner-founder The Boulder Hot Sauce Company.
