My family owns Black's BBQ and I happen to find it one of the best places to eat in town. Not because we own it, but simply because it is a great local BBQ restaurant that cares about tradition and family. Plus, our slaw is NOT manufactured. We do not have a big plant and make it by the batch. Therefore, the quality is very fresh and it is homemade by people in my family. It's a place where the food is great, the service is wonderful, and it is worth the money and drive.

As a native Gastonian my family has always gone to Blacks for our BBQ. All the others in town just don't quite measure up. The large minced sandwich with some of that extra slaw is just amazing! The slaw has just the right amount of spice. The staff is super friendly. All of our out of town guests have been told of Blacks and are now repeat visitors when they come to town!!

Food is great...for take out orders. Don't waste your time in the store, order over the phone and go home and eat it. The resaraunt itself is kind of dinjy, w/ a dirty look, and not so great of service.

They are the most racist restaurant that I have ever been in to in my entire 72 years of living. I can not stand an environment such as that and they would never have to worry about me ever going there ever again.
