Whenever I visit my family in upstate NY, we always stop by the Blue Ribbon Diner in Schenectady, NY. It is a landmark.

The Diner has wonderful variety, comfort food and the best salads. Their salad is always fresh.

Its a family restaurant which also has a menu made up for children with their own suggestions for what they want.

Schenectady NY is the site of the very first television transmission which occurred at the Proctors Theater a guilded historic theater downtown. The theater has been renovated and is a site to see. General Electric scientists transmitted a play from the theatre to the GE warehouse accross town and invented tv. Stop by Schenectady for your kids to see and stop by the Blue Ribbon Diner on State Street.
