I took my family to Bogart's after buying a $50 Gift Certificate from Restaurants.com. We showed the Gift Certificate to our server as we sat down and she stated it would not be an issue. Between the four of us we had a $100 + bill. When we were cashing out the manager said that he no longer accept these Gift Certificate (he did not apologize or seem to care). We showed him the Certificate does not expire and the server knew we had it when we sat down, but he still refused to except it. I believe he refused to except the Gift Card, because they were very slow and are probably struggling to stay open (we were the only table there for dinner). If they told us when we sat down that they did not accept these gift cards, then we would have made a different decision where to eat.
Ask your insurance rep if they will rtuern the prorated difference. If they won't, then you have the option of getting a new policy and cancelling your old one. Then the old insurer will be obligated to provide you a check for the unused portion of t
