I first went to Butch's about 14 years ago and still go to this day. I absolutely love the food and the cozy ambience this place provides. It might not be the most classy or up-to-date place but the service is outstanding and the steaks are great! I'll admit that the place is getting older but I think that just adds to it's character.

I hear people rave about Butch's all the time, so I finally had to go there for a steak. This place in no way lives up to the hype. The first this we saw when we enter the store was this tacky meat case with cryovaked steaks. Not exactly classy. Your Pick N Save meat case looks nicer. The steaks were bland and boring. They came severely undercooked, and had to be sent back twice. You would think that a place that specializes in steak would at least know how to cook one. The baked potato tasted like it had been around for a while, but received a new one when we sent back our steaks. We overheard a woman next to us ask if her lobster was supposed to look like that to her husband, and could see it was undercooked also. I don't mind paying $40 for a good cut of meat that is cooked correctly, but this place is not the place. There are so many better steakhouses within the area to go to. Save your time and money for somewhere else.
