An outpost of the popular New York restaurant, lively Cafe Spice is upscale Indian cuisine for a diverse clientele. The menu offers traditional Indian specialties, from the tandoori oven-grilled meats & curry stews of the north to the stuffed dosa rice pancakes & spicier dishes of the south.Cafe Spice recreates the feel of the original. It has an open kitchen where chefs use traditional clay ovens. Its high ceilings, a stainless-steel bar with ultra-suede stools, booths lining the walls & display boxes jutting sculpturally from the walls create an Indian joint like you've never seen.According to Gourmet Magazine- "The restaurant has hit upon an unusual service style that helps to maximize the value - What you find is the kind of every day Indian restaurant with integrity that is so rare. Call it Indian 101 & attend frequently".Request a booth for a slightly quieter dinner.
Amazingly tasty food but the ambience of the restaurant is not what i was looking for. You get food over the counter when its ready after placing the order. There are no people to serve you the food so everything has to be done by oneself.
