The Captain's Galley in Hickory, NC is rapidly declining in the quality and quantity of food they serve. This is based on the last few times my family has visited this restaurant, with the latest being today. The hushpuppies were cold when served. The "specials" are still not cheap and the amount of food one receives is relative to a child's portion. For the value, one could get a decent meal at another restaurant in town. Today, the flounder was watery and tasteless. Our server was aware of the situation and brought to management's attention. We did not receive a visit from management and still paid for the meal, although we could not eat it. Needless to say, we will not go back to the location.

I just love this restaurant ,Today is my husband Birthday,I am going to treat him to dinner.I just know I can get some good food here.He is a chief also 20 years also.This is only one of the few restaurant he will eat.Beause he knows the restaurant codes and standards,And cleaniness of foods.Thanks for the great foods.I eat here pretty often.
