Our family always enjoys going out to Captain's Galley. It's fast and friendly. The quality of the seafood, grilled chicken and ribeye steak is excellent. I love that the seafood is hand breaded! It is also the only place my children have a selection for seafood.

My family and I visited Captain's Galley restaurant in Waxhaw this past Friday night. It was my first time and it was a very pleasureable experience. We loved the hot hushpuppies as soon as we sat down. Having kids, it is always great to have something for them to munch on. Our server was very prompt and friendly. She made us feel like we were very special and the food was amazing. I got the grilled jumbo shrimp and was taken away by the flavors. My husband got the ribeye. We didn't think that the steak would be of best quality being of from a seafood restaurant but WOW!!! It was the best steak my husband or I have ever had. I was very pleased and a little surprised at the wonderful service, food, and cleanliness!!! They have a 100.0 rating! Wonderful experience, I can't wait to go back....maybe Father's Day?!!??!!

Eat here and spend more for poor quality food. Bad service and dirty tables.

My family and I love to eat at this Captain's Galley whenever we get the chance. I love getting the broiled items, especially the scallops & fantail shrimp. Their chicken breast is the juiciest and most flavorful I have ever eaten out. The fried pickle appetizer is my husband's favorite...a must each time. Great quality food and the prices are very fair. Sundays are great for lunch because they will either have fried or baked chicken with vegetables and AMAZING mashed potatoes. Overall, this is one of our favorite places to get some good food. Oh and by the way, try a rib eye from Captain's Galley, I am sure you will be impressed!

We moved to the Waxhaw area in 2002 and Captains Galley has been a great spot for dinner with the family. Whether we eat in or call in our order for pick-up, Captains Galley is always the spot we choose for excellent service and delicious food!

My family went out for mother's day and we were all served the wrong food. The waitress refused to exchange the food for what we ordered and said that the cashier would take care of the problem. When we discussed it with the cashier, she laughed at the problem and refused to make amends. The next day, I called the manager who was really smart with me on the phone. He said that it was our fault that we didn't get the food we ordered and had a really smart-aleck attitude. I had eaten there several times before but never will again after being forced to pay for food we didn't order. On top of it all, those of us who ate the food served got a reward of a week's long of diarrhea. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND STOMACHS!! They ruined mother's day for us...

My son just moved to the area 3 weeks ago and we came down to help out. Out of the 5 days we were there, we ate at this restaurant 3 nights. It was great.
