We pride ourselves on our original Mexican food and our original puffy tostados. We are the only restaurant in Fort Worth or Dallas to offer this unique style of preparation. My mother, Modesta Caro, created the recipe for our tostados Caro's TexMex when she opened the first Caro's in Rio Grande City, Texas in 1937. Our tostados are made to order. They do not come out of a box or from a mix. Freshness and quality of our ingredient's are of utmost importance to us. Caro's has been owned and operated by the Whitten family since 1954 in Fort Worth but is as old as the Aztecs with our recipes for Mexican food. Enjoy!
