Informal atmosphere with good, inexpensive food and attractive decor. Excellent chili verde. Prices moderate/inexpensive.

I have been eating at the Casa for almost 30 years, since it was an incubator enterprise across the street. For other reviews to compare this restaurant to Taco Bell is intellectually dishonest. Casa has always provided quality food in a clean and friendly environment. They also offer non-Mexican cuisine for those who don't care for Mexican food. The fish dinner has not been surpassed in any restaurant I've eaten at. It may not be 100% authentic Mexican food, but it is delicious at a reasonable price. If you question this review, just check out the crowd and waiting line on any Friday or Saturday night.

After living in the SW for the past decade I have been wanting authentic Mexican ever since I moved here 3-months ago. This place is about as "authentic" to Mexican as Pizza Hut is authentic Italian.
Mexican food really isn't that complicated or difficult to make in an authentic fashion. Yet from what I have had at CTM (I gave it two tries) they do absolutely everything they can to make it wrong; from breaded (not egg-batter dipped) chilie rellenos, to enchilada/relleno sauce that tastes like it has a ketchup base and has zero-spice. It is sad for me to say that Taco Bell is more authentic.
The food is terrible. The food is overpriced. The food is not at all Mexican. Anyone who thinks it is has probably grown-up on taco-night eating Ortega, ground beef, and ketchup.

Casa Too Mucha: They never wash their hands, everything is microwaved, and I mean everything. Rodent infestation is great, they don't wash their dishes, no sanitizer, just leave their dishes to soak in sink, and spray them off, recycle their food. Good eats. Anyone who eats there should get slapped. It's dirty.

Blecch. I ordered the haddock stuffed with crab, and the waiter brought me some chicken dish. I asked him if he was sure he brought me the right food, and he reassured me that whatever he brought me was stuffed with crab. When I protested that it was supposed to be haddock, he actually took it back and checked with the chef. I finally got my haddock, and it was stuffed with imitation crab, or should I say crap.
On an unrelated note, this restaurant has one of the least private men's rooms ever. The urinal has no barriers around it at all, and there is a huge mirror on the wall to the left. Also, there are two stalls with bi-fold doors, and many slats are missing on the door to one of the stalls.

Casa Too Mucha. My date and I ordered Fajitas, what came back to us was Chicken Strips with a side of sliced red peppers. It tasted like a combination b/t sweet and sour chicken and a bland stir fry. I told the waitress that I thought I was given the wrong food but she confirmed those were fajitas. We barely touched the food, only eating 2 oz of chicken or so. Our waitress was very courteous and offered to bring us something else but we politely declined as we had tickets for the Stanley and did not want to wait for perhaps an even worse tasting dish. As indicated, the waitress was courteous however, if I saw two patrons barely eat anything on the plate and even question if they received the correct meal I would at least comp them one meal.
