While driving from Charlotte,NC to Atlanta, we decided to stop in for lunch.I found this restuarant on the internet. We had already decided to just drive by & see how many cars were in the parking lot.Well,it was packed so we agreed to eat.Everyone in our party agreed, this was the best country buffet any of us had ever had.We couldn't believe the price either,$6.99 for all you can eat with the best sweet tea. There's not many selections on the buffet, but what they have was excellent. We were impressed by the variety of vegetables, since one of our group was a vegetarian. It's obvious that they know how to do southern right-especially the fried chicken. The wait staff was very attentive & courteous. The inside of the restuarant has a homey feel-it's bright & airy.Judging by the many different people lunching there, from policemen to nurses, retirees, it must be a local favorite.I can't wait to visit there again soon.If you plan on travelling thru Greenville,SC,be sure to stop at Cateran's,you won't be disappointed.

I LOVE their fried okra and banana pudding! At this all you can eat venue, they have several home cooked favorites and friendly service. They also have the best sweet tea in Greenville.
The salad bar was terrible, the lettuce was old. Everything should have been thrown out!! The pizza was cold, what little pizza they had on the buffet. We were dining at 12:30 and expected more to choose from. What a waste of $8.50
We used to eat here at least a few times a week, we got to know Tommy & Ming pretty well...they were great people, Where did they ever move to? I miss their food :-(
Went with my three year old and some friends the food was great. Our waiter was amazing. Oh a bonus is five and under are free and 5-11 are a fraction of the price. It is a fancy locations. And would definetly recommend it.
the people are great -- the food is great --
what I don't understand is why you can get a cb plate with a drink for $5.99 but a chili cb plate with a drink is over $2 more -- so much for specials -- seems out of whack to me
but i'll keep going b
