Outstanding! We recently hosted our daughter's wedding reception in Chappell's upstairs. The mid-1800's ambience of rich oak and warm lighting was perfect. A perfect blend of casual elegance. The food was sumptuous; starting with the goat cheese brushhetta, shrimp cocktail, and fresh vegetable hors d'oeuvres, and on to the seafood gumbo and butternut squash bisque, to the melt-in-your-mouth filet mignon, chicken diane, encrused tilapia, and jambalaya entries to the wedding pies, grapes and cheese; It was delicous! Sheldon (the owner) and his team were professional and gracious. Brian (the chef) was wonderful to work with. (especially in light of planning this from out of state) The attentiveness of the staff and serveres was unflagging throughout the six hours we were there! We would highly recommend Chappell's to our family and friends.
