Plastic table cloths, smell of urine cakes, and the cheapest steak of $20 that my husband and I both thought tasted just like Waffle House's... This place is way overrated. I had a bourbon and coke to drink which was good, a shrimp cocktail that was $8.95 and consisted of 5 recently THAWED squishy shrimp, an $8.95 Greek salad that was served in the same size bowl as my husband's dinner salad and was comprised of chopped iceburg lettuce, four onion slices, four tomato slices, three canned black olives, a couple of pepperocini, and was swimming in balsalmic dressing. Needless to say, I left more than three quarters of it uneaten. My husband had the NY strip, it came with a dinner salad--just iceburg lettuce and tomatoes with a choice of either thousand island, parmesan peppercorn, or bleu cheese dressing. The steak was tasteless and had been cooked on a griddle and was greasy with oil. The baked potato came only with butter and sour cream and was an average (small) size. They did bring bread but it was not heated. Their were crackers on the table with butter when we were seated. The server was polite and friendly, but he did take about 20 minutes to bring us our check. (However, in his credit, he probably thought we were actually going to spend time EATING the food--which we did very little of...) The place was pretty crowded on a Saturday night--but to be honest, everyone was over 65. And that is the type of place Charlie's is--old fashioned, you actually feel like you have stepped back into the fifties. My grandfather would think it was really fancy and love it. My husband and I hated it and left hungry--and felt robbed of $55.
I took my family to eat at Logan's Roadhouse. We had never eaten there before, and now when I want steak I think of Logan's. That night I had the best steak I have ever eaten. I will be celebrating my birthday there this year in fact.
My friends and I may a reservation for 12 people. We waited over an hour past out reservation time to be seated. My dinner never arrived, when I mentioned this to our waiter he simpled laughed, walked away, and never returned. Another waiter broug

I rate this place as average. Managment seemed not to care as we waited over 10 minutes at the door even though several tables were open. Steak was cold. Table looked like it was wiped by a 5 year old.
