It all began when Cherrywood's original owner Pasquale Tuzzolo mastered the most important part of any dish, the gravy! He relied on traditional family recipes, his fathers culinary experience and the knowledge he took with him from a small pizza shop in Canarsie, Brooklyn. With that, he opened the doors to the people of Wantagh in 1964.

Almost seven years ago we moved to a new and larger location just north of Sunrise Highway, right in the heart of town. Our family friendly restaurant offers a casual dining room that can accommodate 80 guests while still being cozy. We continue to offer a delicious variety of pizzas as well as our homemade traditional Italian dishes from both Northern Italy and Sicily. We offer a full bar menu and are always adapting to the ever changing needs of our customers. After years of cooking and experimenting with our new innovations we have added some healthy selections, low carb and specialty items to our menu. We have a commitment to using only the freshest ingredients which keeps our customers coming back for more. We have a very loyal customer base that has literally "Grown Up on Cherrywood Pizza." We have dinner specials every night and offer catering packages for both on and off premise parties.
