To: Robert A. Pacelli, Owner There is a huge concern regarding employees at this location!!! I witnessed the sales slow down and diminish from grand opening thru current date. There are predominately Afro American Employees who strongly express their prejudice toward caucasian customers (period). They avoid serving these customers and use every possible tactic to hide in the back, strike conversation with other employees, laugh and jeer, walk about shifting cups about, etc. Once the service does finally begin, it is a long slow process of getting the ice cream, walking around for lids, talking until the ice cream is basically melted, then putting lids on at last. Eventually, they decide to bag your order and ring your bill. It has also been noted that they serve Afro American customers for free; they do not charge them. I have never had a pleasant experience in this store. you may think i am a disgruntled customer, well, you bet, I am alarmed at the rude behavior . . . it has no place in a customer relationship environment. Go home with that attitude (you're getting paid to work). We have two businesses in orange, ct and have our own share of issues with employees. The conditions are absolutely intolerable or I would not come forward. My husband and I use to go regularly, then once in a while, now hardly ever. it is just too uncomfortable. sincerely, carol
