I have been to the Cottage Green on numerous occassions, we were recently there for our daughters wedding. We had a great time. Our family was raving over the food. You have to try the seafood scampi, it was amazing. The service was awesome. We would like to say thank you to Kevin, who made everything so easy! He helped make our daughter's wedding a huge success that will last forever. Most important he delivered all that was promised! Thank you Kevin your the best!

We booked Cottage Green for a small funeral luncheon. Despite the fact that the funeral director called ahead (by 45-60 minutes) to Cottage Green to provide them with the count, when we arrived we were told that we were not on the list. The person then proceeded to ignore us and when we insisted that we had booked a luncheon and that she needed to find someone who knew something, she was very rude. She walked off supposedly to find "someone" and didn't return. After several minutes, I went in the same direction and found staff setting up tables. One of the servers told me they were for us. The room had not been cordoned off and in fact, no one did that until 10 minutes or so after our party was seated.

When we were ready to leave, as no one had approached us about paying the bill, I went in search of a manager. The office was locked and the initial rude person was nowhere in sight. I went back to the door the servers used and called for someone. During checkout, when I mentioned these problems to the office person, she gave me a perfunctory "sorry" and proceeded with the bill. The bill included a gratuity fee for the servers which is normal but unusual for two reasons: first when my sister booked the luncheon, they never mentioned it despite her asking if there were any other expenses; second the amount was excessive, nearly 50% of the food/drink bill, for just two servers.

I felt that the management (who never materialized unless it was the woman who prepared the bill) was disrespectful in handling an event which required nothing if not respect.

The only plusses are the food was decent and the servers were attentive. Physically the location is unattractive and gives the strong appearance of being run-down.
