Went there for chicken and dumplings but waitress said they quit serving them at 4:00 pm but it was ten till four. I ordered a patty melt and she brought a turkey melt and said that was what I ordered. Bad ex.perience

a diner from Whitehouse,Texas
I read these reviews on this site and I don't think we're talking about the same establishment. The Cotton Patch in Tyler Texas has only been in Tyler for 9 months. The company doesn't have operations outside of Texas with the exception of 1 in New Mexico. My last visit started with a smile at the door and prompt seating. My waiter, Bruce, was busy but polite and was knowledgeable about the menu items. My food was served hot and was very delicious. I ate a great, fresh, home cooked meal for less than $15. I eat there often and I love every item I've tried on the menu so far. The restaurant is always neat and clean. I do recommend Cotton Patch. It's not the fast paced, loud atmosphere that others have.
We never got seated. The two young ladies on the front never acknowledge us. I finally went up to them and asked what we had to do and found out we need to sign in. There were tables availabe but they were more interested in each other and what was going on in the back. They never adconwledge anyone that came in you were pretty much on your on. We left and went to TGIF and were treated like people that had walked in to a place to eat. This happen at noon 6-26-08 I hope you can appreciate this email. Thank you,
Earl Brady and Pete valdez have kept the high quality up over years..4 stars

a diner from Hendersonville, TN
We eat at the Hendersonville, TN location at least once a month. Have never had a bad meal there. Service can be average at times, but is usually a little above.
I went to the Colorado Blvd Location (in Denver)and had the worst service ever. Even when I spoke to a manager, HE pawned the problem on someone else and never came back. He did not come back and neither will I.

We think the Black Eyed Pea in Colorado Springs, CO at I-25 and Garden of the Gods Road is wonderful. The management at this location is excellent. We have NEVER had a bad meal here and the service if excellent. We eat there so often we feel like family there! We have eaten at other Black Eyed Peas in Colorado and have not had the same great experience that we do here. We know they can do it right!!!
I went to the restaurant in Mckinney, Tx. $10.00 for lunch, tax tip and so I took the $5.95 Potatoe skins. They were cold, the cheese was tasteless, and the skins were too tough to eat.It was so bad, I left 75% of it at the table. Never again will I go to such an overpriced minimum quality restaurant as "The Blackeyed Pea.
