Locals in Midway and for miles around know: This place has amazingly great food. Nothing fancy, mind you - no "Southern Fusion" or raspberry/goat cheese/cactus spine/endive encrusted anything - just great, basic stick-to-your-ribs type food cooked just like your grandmother claimed she did but in real life couldn't make THIS delicious. After eating there for years I haven't sampled anything that doesn't taste at least "good" with most "excellent." Breakfast, lunch or dinner, from eggs to burgers to steaks to seafood is all uniformly great. As one example, a friend from Salisbury regularly drives 20 miles each way just to eat CK's pork roast, a dish served with a rich, dark sauce smothering the meat that he says beats the authentic sauerbraten he learned to love while stationed in Germany. And another: when I realized how tasty their popcorn shrimp are, I stopped visiting seafood restaurants.
WAS NOT FAMILY ORIENTED MOST OF THE PEOPLE THERE WERE THERE TO JUST DRINK BEER AND CUSS AND OF COURSE SMOKE YOU COULD NOT BREATH WELL AT ALL DUE TO THE CIGERETTE SMOKE I LOVE TEDS CHICKEN BUT THIS PLACE WAS NOT GOOD TO US AT ALL
