In March of 2007 Geideman acquired the space in which he would make his dream become a reality. Geideman's parents were an active part in the opening of the restaurant and were as enthused about the business proposition as Geideman.
Work began immediately on creating a menu and a drink list that blended familiar and foreign tastes resulting in the mouth watering menu that Crew currently boasts. After months of construction and preparation, Crew opened its doors to the public on December 12th, 2007 and have been a local success since.Crew Restaurant, a Contemporary American Bistro, opened its doors in December 2007. Located on Railroad Avenue in Greenwich, CT, Crew offers a unique dining experience.
Upon entering Crew Restaurant, after being greeted by a boisterous 'hello' from Chris Geideman, restaurant owner/manager and chef, diners know they are not in a typical Greenwich restaurant. Incorporating ideas from past restaurants in which he has worked, Geideman wanted to create a place with a laid back environment where people would enjoy spending their time; his dream has come alive.
With the warm colors and dim lighting the friendly atmosphere of the restaurant and bar make all patrons feel like they are "part of the crew." Crew is like a "Cheers" for the gourmand where by the end of the night, everyone knows your name. That's clearly the idea that Geideman wanted to impress which is especially obvious when watching his interactions with Crew patrons. Don't let Chris' silliness confuse, however; he is just as serious about his cutting edge wine list and food pairing as he is about having a good time.
