The food is good. Kind of home cooking type fare. The price is ok. But the services is down right horrible. I have been in there when the staff have talked loudly about how they dont like certain customers. I have seen the staff yell at customers. I had a co-worker that got a to go order from the steam table and found out later they put a 20 percent tip on the bill where it had been left blank. This family owned business may be the problem. The only reason I could see that staff could treat customers this way is that they are part of the "family". Service on the menu side of the resturant can be slow. I went thee to get a fish and fries from the steam table side. I waited behind several people. When got to the steamtable the lady ask my order, I said "this will be to go" (she had styrofoam boxes sitting nearby. The lady had a angry facial expression, pointed to the chalkboard nearby that read "NO MENU ORDERS!!!" and turned to the guy behind me and ask for his order. I will never return there even though some of the food is a good deal like the cheeseburger platter for under 6 dollars. It's a shame the managment tolerates this from their staff. I work nearby and would like to eat there for lunch but cannot tolerate the abusive/rude staff.
