I've been dining at EDO since the late 1990s and the original location. The food has always been fantastic and has never changed. I live about 25 minutes away and we still get takeout sushi from EDO about once a month because we can't find anywhere closer that is anywhere near as good. The service can be slow at times, but that is to be expected. It is NOT a fast food restaurant.

The sushi made everyone who consumed it (regular sushi eaters) sick for the next two days. Our server barely spoke English, never came back after our dinner was delivered to us, took over five minutes to follow up on requests. My and another diner's beef entrees had entirely too much fat and gristle on them. The meal was quite expensive considering how bad it was and how poor the service was. Will not go back again.

The food is wonderful and the prices are great. I love the rice bowls! Can't beat the price for the amount of food. I haven't always had the best service but I can overlook that for the food!

I eat at Edo about once a week, sometimes more, and I've never had bad service. The sushi bar is great for dining alone, as the chefs are quite entertaining to watch. Eating with family or friends, the tables and booths are nice. Either way, I've never gotten service that was less than 'very good', and the staff has always been friendly and willing to help. I usually have the sushi but everything I've ordered off the menu has been good, and you can request dishes to be made with less salt (I do).

I saw the only other review of this restaurant and had to set the record straight. Edo's is a great place to eat; it's relaxed, unpretentious, hospitable, and the food is great and modestly priced. I recommend the plum wine sorbet with plum wine poured on top for dessert. Two thumbs up!

Poeple have raved about how good this restaurant is but I did not find it such. We where a group of about 10 at lunch. Everyone but I ordered sushi. Everyone also order from the menu but I ordered one of the daily specials.

When the the sushi came, I got my soup which came with the special. It was a chicken broth with green onion soup which I have consumed at many different Japanese Steak houses before. Far to much salt here (no it was not a fish stock). After every one was done with their fish, the waiterees started bring the food in, three poeple at a time. After her third trip, she never shows up till it was time to to give the bills out. (Due to where we where, I could not get out to flag someone down and the room we where in was not in the normal flow of traffic. The staff had to proposelly come in the direction of the room.) When I explained that I never got my meal, she gets mad and runs back with some food thrown on the plate (no attempt at presentation at all) and slames it down with a "Here!" No, we are sorry or can we take off something and give it to you to go. I could not eat it because I had to get back to work.(Besides, it was not what I ordered anyway).
