a diner from Vernon
Drinks:

Chris martini: Good size
My Black Russian: small, they enlarged it after I expressed disappointment.

Decent to good price: $6.50 each.

Apps: Half dozen oysters to split; $10.50.
Sweet, fresh, & tender, just salty enough, very pleased!

Clam Chowder: Between R.I style and N.E. style in texture, flavor excellent! Would order a bowl any time! Caesar salad: Average.

Bread: Baked fresh there, but, very little crust or taste. Not served hot.

Main courses: Salmon Almondine, with a raspberry sauce, $20. Out of the ordinary prep, excellent!

They normally cook it medium. We asked for it medium rare, they cooked it perfectly to our request! Very flavorful, decent portion. Would order again!

Surf & Turf: Two baked stuffed shrimp. We expected overdone, like most BSS, were pleasantly surprised. Tender, succulent, with flavorful stuffing. Not huge, but not puny. The steak, ordered medium rare, again, they delivered! Very flavorful as well and decent portion.

Sides: Broccoli: Cooked perfectly. Twice baked potatoes: Bland, but pretty on the plate. Just needs a bit or garlic to transform!

Conclusion: Will go there again next time I want seafood!
