best place to take little kids cause the workers r so nice an happy to help while u eat always good cheerful girls working and the tall pretty blond is like the star on a christmas tree,then as u get seated u see another smiling happy bright face her older sister ,,all you girls working there are so pretty and helpfull thank you.. loved the food now and the service was great and the short blond that took the kids to the girls room,, so nice thank you,,,
kid frendly yes,, grand kids to and grama great grama, this past thursday i took my grand daughters and my mother all went to eat there ,,i thought OMG im taking a 3 yeard old tornato out to eat, But the hoastess the busser 2 servers took care of her and grama while i enjoyed my food first time in over a year, thay even escorted her to the potty,,looked at gramas vacation pics and all, Best place to take your kids besides Mcdonolds of course,, Loved the service and the food, it was better then day care,,ill be back soon,

BEST MEXIACAN FOOD IN ARIZONA, THE OTHERS SHOULDN'T BE CALLED MEXICAN FOOD, THEY SHOULD BE CALLED TEXAN MEXICAN. HOMEMADE FOOD IS THE BEST AND THAT'S WHAT THEY DO????????

this is a sad day for all of us that grew up in apache junction az , i just got word that elviras is closing its doors in two weeks, it was and still is the best mexican food i have ever had in my life time and i have eaten at many mexican restraunts, tryed to find the best and i did eviras was number one on my list ,mi amigos next ,suzis in mesa,and there are a few others, so for all that liked elviras please contact them and say thank you for the many wonderful years of service sincerily mr robert demarest of tempe az

i have only one word for this place, WOW! this place has the best cheese crisp and the best red and green chili. We fly in from MN to go eat here.

hello my name is robert demarest i grew up in apache junction 1960 to 1975,my father use to take us kids there it was the best then and still is i still recomend the cheese enchiladas and the green chili buritos plus the cheese crisp and her hot sauce i have been to many mexican restraunts and i still say that elviras is the best in my 54 years of life there is no place better for the price

My family has been eating here since the week it opened in 1968. This is the best Sonoran Style Mexican food we have ever found. Whenever we visit we always have to eat there. I have somewhat duplicated their recipes, but there is nothing like the real deal. Thanks for all the great dining memories!

i grew up in apache juntion az, and elviras was the best restaurant in the juntion. i recommend the green chili burito's, their cheese enchiladas , cheese crisps and can not forget the hot sauce and chips. i'm still trying to guess how she makes the hot sauce the best i've had in 51 years. nobody can beat her hot sauce and i have eaten in alot of mexican food restaurants. elviras is still the best!

We visited Elvira's Restaurant first in the 70s and most recently just yesterday. It's just one of "those" restaurants, you know? Dishes from scratch, reasonable prices, low-key operation. Feels like home! You just can't improve on the total formula!

What a wonderful experience. Staff were friendly and made recommendations to try - all were fantastic! Real authentic mexican food - all made daily and fresh. Everything we tried was a mouthful of heaven!!
We have lived here 15 years and never tried this place. But once we did we go 3-5 times a week. We used to go to Seranos.

I've eaten at Elvira's since it opened and have found the food to be consistently the best Sonoran style Mexican food in the US.
i grew up in apache junction,and elviras was the best food in town then as it is now,but a warning don't ever ask for sour cream on your chimichangas ,because vera will tell you thats white mans food, not mexican, sincerily robert demarest
