When the Equinox Diner in Orange opened on April 23, 2008, a whole new era of the diner began. Open every day, our value-oriented, family-friendly, high-energy eatery offers comfort food with global twists. "Meet you at the diner!" is now everyone's favorite invitation.
With our exterior wrapped in colors of blueberry and whipped cream, there are 175-seats, a full liquor license and on or off-site catering facilities. Very much in the 21st century we are a Wi-Fi 'HotSpot' with three 50" plasma televisions and a sophisticated sound system. The interior is flooded with light and the colors of cherry, blueberry, lime and butter are a vibrant backdrop for the open floor plan with cozy booth seating throughout.
Owner Jimmy Doukas has assembled a first class team whose mantra is: 'We do diner right!' "In today's economic climate people are searching for real value and at the Equinox, our value is mated to the kind of high quality that is seldom found in a diner. We serve 3 meals daily offering 140 items on our all-day menu. Breakfast is served all day as well as dinner specials available every day after 4:30. All desserts are baked in house including our unforgettable classic cheesecake, jasmine rice pudding, lemon meringue, coconut custard and fruit-filled pies, plus many other must-have diner goodies. The children's menu includes all their favorites and includes a beverage and chocolate chip cookie plus free toys.
The Equinox Diner in Mystic opened on March 17, 2009 and is located at the end of the ramp of exit 90 off of I-95.
