Fiddler's Dream is a music venue in a coffeehouse setting. They don't serve food except for cookies and snack items; coffee is always on the menu and is still just $1. Other beverages are available such as teas, soda, and bottled waters. The quality of the performances there are well worth the price of admission, which is generally from $5 to $8 per person, as well as special concert nights with nationally touring performers which do run more. My friends and family are regular visitors and have been for twenty years or more, and will continue that tradition. Highly recommend, just not for a dining experience!

Coffe advertised at $2 a cup. Ok, we live in the area and stopped in for a cup. We got our cups, and were hit with 2 $3 admission fees. Admission to what? There was no entertainment, and it was not scheduled to begin for 40 minutes. Not even a table that we could see to drink them on. Just rows of fold up chairs, and we sure were not going to sit there for 40 minutes nursing our coffe waiting for entertainment to start. We also saw no sign indicating a $3 per person admission fee. Maybe a fee if there was entertainment, but when there was absolutly nothing? That's nuts. Neither we, nor any of our friends who live just a few blocks from there will darken their doors again.
Hal's as we know it has closed as of 12/16/12.
