We been going to Fifer's for a very long time. The food is great and crabs are yummy. We were very disappointed with the services of our waitress and it wasn't like it was crowded. Sorry Fifer's :( 6/27

Called ahead for reservations on a Wednesday evening for 5 adults and three children in the dining area (bar). Did not take reservations for party less than 10. Since there are not many tables there and inquired further and was told that altho they could not take a reservation they would be aware of us and try to have a table.

When we got there, they did not have a table. We went in the crab dining area and they offered a chair with a back for our father who is in his 80's at the end of the table. We understood since they did not take reservations. However, I ordered fried oysters and they were not cooked thru. I had eaten there before and the food has always been OK. I mentioned to the waitress and at first, she did nothing. At the end of the meal, I mentioned it again and told her I did not think I should have to pay for my meal since I only ate one oyster. I did eat the fried onions. She was a little belligerent and told me the oysters were as they were supposed to be. I found that strange since she was not eating them - I was and they were terrible - tasted like flour and water. Finally, she said she would mention the the manager. She came back and said they would take $10 off. I never got around to telling her that the fried soft crabs that another member of the party ordered were also bad. They could not eat them. In any case, we are locals and have visited the restaurant several times and I am surprised we would not be be treated better. Any good restuarant would have apologized and taken the cost of the meal off (approx $20.00 meal). The $10 is not the point nor what it is all about. It has cost your restaurant more in the long run as I am not sure we will be back. The Germershausen's family.

My wife and I stop by Yogi's Place whenever we're in the area. We'll order drinks from the bar and look over the menu and specials. Often, the food is served before we've finished the drinks. I like the ribs, with great 'cue sauce, or I may just hav ...
