MY HUSBAND AND I ARE FROM CALIFORNIA AND HAVE ACTUALLY LIVED IN JAPAN. THIS IS THE MOST AUTHENTIC JAPANESE FOOD YOU'LL EXPERIENCE IN WILMINGTON. THE SUSHI IS ACTUALLY PREPARED BY AN ACTUAL JAPANESE PERSON WHO IS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING. WE'VE ALSO EATEN AT YOSAKE WHICH IS ALSO ALRIGHT BUT AIMS MORE TOWARDS THE CONTEMPORARY. WE ALWAYS SUGGEST GENKI TO PEOPLE FOR AUTHENTIC JAPANESE SUSHI AND FOOD.

The Sushi at Genki was ok. I just couldn't stand the owner's attitude. She was so mean and UGLY.

This is a quaint tiny place away from the main dinner rush off of Market St. Possibly one of the best Sushi places in all of Wilmington. Not advertised, it is a place that depends on its excellent service and delicious food to carry its reputation. I went on a Tuesday and I found the food to be very fresh and delicious. Very authentic Japanese cuisine.
