This information is a year and a half old but we are going back to New York in a few days and if we go to the Gotham Bar and Grill again, I will update it the review. Let me say first off that we consider ourselves picky and like very good food and unpretentious surroundings. We considered this restaurant to be classy but unpretentious. We had the "prefix" lunch which was $20.00 at the time. I believe they price it according to what the year is. My husband had the Salmon and I had a pasta dish. I did not like my dish but it wasn't because it wasn't good, it was personal taste. I switched with my husband and I loved his Salmon and he liked my pasta very much! The lunch was three courses and very ample portions. It started with a very nice Endive salad and ended with a fabulous chocolate cake. You had a choice of several entrees and also salads and desserts I believe. The only extra cost was for your drinks and tip of course. The service was great and the restaurant was very very clean! The only surprize was my southern sister ordered iced tea and she had two refills as the glasses were small, and it cost the same as my glass of champagne (9.00). I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you frequent "all you can eat" and "mom's home cooking" and Cracker Barrel type restaurants, don't go here!

Finally a fun place in the neighborhood. Loud music and fun bartenders unlike the usual midtown irish bars. Even saw a girl dancing on the bar last week.
