My overall experience at this restaurant is usually favorable. The menu has loads of variety at reasonable prices. Especially for lunch. The Eggrolls are phenomenal. We always get plenty of rice. I usually leave satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to others.

This was a terrible experience and I did not even have to eat there. I called ahead to ask them what time they would be open and he said "to ten" very quietly and when I said "excuse me?" he yelled "TO TEN!" when he answered the phone all he said was "hello" It was such a ridiculously rude thing that when i read the other reviews on this website I decided I would not even bother eating there
This is just a small place with a few tables if you choose to eat there. I am sure majority of their business is takeout. The food is fantastic!! They service is fast and the quality incredible.
Be very careful of the breakfast, I've had it twice now and was sick afterward on both occasions. I also have a friend who has had the same experience.
I've only gotten carryout from China Garden, but every time I've gone there, the service has been slow, and my order has been wrong. The food is really mediocre at best. My wife complains that the chicken dishes are all gristle, but I talked her in

This romantic Italian restaurant is a hidden gem! My husband and I discovered it last week, and if you love homemade Italian pasta, this is your place. Everything was delicious! I had their special of the day...a chicken dish, and their alfredo li

I love it! It isn't a "jacket and evening gown" restaurant, but the food is great and the wait staff is very friendly. For the price, you will leave with a satisfied look on you face!

Got take-out on 8/26/06 and there was a rusty screw in my food General's chicken/pork fried rice. I won't be going back.

The restaurant is filthy and the service is worse. The food was palatable until we had to deal with the service. To say that they were rude would be an understatement. We were on eof two parties at the restaurant and they were still rude. You would think that they would have treated us nicely with such slow traffic. The service seemed mad that there were only two parties there. Maybe if they were curteous, there would have been more. This is one place you want to avoid- AT ALL COST!

This was by far the worst dine out experience. I asked if they could add carrots to a dish and was told by the owner "we don't do that...you cook it yourself". Talk about begging for no repeat business. I had been warned by others about the horrible service but thought that I would give it a try anyway, my mistake. If you want good Chinese food in South Bend, try the Mandarin House.

We used to enjoy this restaurant in its prior location about a block south. Professional staff, large, open room, well-lit, table candles, linens, fine-dining type experience. Then, they tore down the old restaurant and moved into a vacated Bob-Evans/chain-style restaurant building. Why, I don't know. Diners are now scattered around in two separate rooms- one "kids room" in the back. The bar is a makeshift little alcove. The decor is really sad, even if you're not an aesthetic designer: cheap Chinese art and some lanterns hanging from walls and fixtures.
Worst, the food took a significant downward turn. Used to be very consistent, upper-level quality Chinese. Now, even the food seems tired: overly cooked veggies, soggy tepid sauces, too much MSG on the meats and fish.
Even the staff is changed: seems like a tired, harrassed, older husband and wife run the place, supported by a changing waitstaff. They clonk your plates down in front of you and smile a lot, looking like they wish they were home.
You'll be full of warm food when you leave, but you could say the same about McDonald's. Sorry. I avoid it now.
