Very good food. Good value. First time eating here, everyone at the table commented on how good the food tasted. Small restaurant, around 20 tables. Parking available. Good ambience, relaxing. Well behave kids should be fine. If the kid is the squirmy type or you need to have a stoller, it may be a problem because the place is small and not a lot of room.

Hana Tsubaki has been a Sacramento East Area neighborhood favorite for over 20 years. We love it! They serve consistently high quality Japanese specialties, served fast by a usually friendly but sometimes harried staff. Prices have increased over the years, are always good value for the money. The premises is always spotless. In the past year or two they have added a small sushi bar and have updated with flat screen TVs. Hana's really is the right place for very informal, relatively inexpensive, friendly, delicious Japanese dining.

Great food and nicely decorated. Call ahead because I had to wait 25 min for a table on Friday night.
