a diner from West Hartford, CT
We arrived to find the restaurant nearly empty an hour before closing time (10 PM) and were greeted warmly. The soft music in the background was quite pleasant but surprising to hear in an Asian restaurant because it included a sweet version of Brahms' Lullaby and other gentle 19th-century European classical pieces. We tried two soups and found them quite good. Edamame was somewhat too bland. The Black Pearl Sushi was delicious but a tad skimpy. The vegetable tempura dinner was good but not quite excellent.
