I drive across town to eat at Helen's. Her food is definitely from the soul. Everyone is friendly and the portions are healthy. This is true down home cooking. That makes you want for more. Truely great food and value. And don't forget the dessert.

Just driving around in neighborhood, trying to find something heathier than Whataburger. drove by Helen's. Had baked chicken, cabage, & greens. Can't think of enough good things to say about the food, service, atmosphere, the other folks there. Several patrons talked to me in this friendly neighborhood place. Cutest little 4 year old fellow (there wtih mom & dad) recited the alphabet to Ms. Helen (assumed it was Ms. Helen) and she gave him a dollar. Sweet as could be. Waiter was very attentive, quite concerned that I was satisfied. Can't remember when I had a meal that good or such good service. Hope to try out some of the other offerings soon. Left full and happy. No better dining experience possible. Thanks to everyone at Helen's for hosting me! Could've sat there all day eating great food.
We left in the middle of the meal because the owner was berating a black couple at the next table. Racism is an ugly sight to behold and the food lost all its appeal.
I went there the other day this young gentlemen Jaime always gives the finest service the managers do need to work on their customer service but other then that i had a great experience.
It's not the prettiest place you'll ever see but it's got a great view of the lake. You can boat up to or drive your car there. The service is excellent and fast.
