I have to agree that this place is great. I suspect that the extremely negative review had some ax to grind. This place has had consistently great food over the years and the service has always been attentive. It's a basic Chinese restaurant, hence the medium rating on ambience. But the food and dining experience are as good as any Chinese restaurant - no, better - in the area.

I don't know what upset the diner who wrote that awful review but I will say that as a long term patron of this establishment, it is completely different from my experience.

Hot Wok is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. The food is always fresh, they use a minimum of oil, the staff is always pleasant and the facility is clean.

It is a family-owned restaurant and the dishes are nicely done. Among our favorites is are the shrimp with shallot chips, the Mongolian lamb, the dumplings, but there are many others which we order regularly.

We have been frequenting this restaurant since it opened and have never had a bad experience or a bad meal.

Hot Wok is not fancy but neither is it your typical Chinese place. The food is well above average and with a nice creative touch.

For casual dining we recommend it.

Worst ever chinese good joint in whole united states...one word of advice for any one trying to venture this food....expect for disappointment...if you have any people whom you hate your guts out take them to this place.....your excitement will be doubled by torture they will go through having this food...

My sincere advice...stay 10 miles away from this place...
