My co-workers made a lunch time reservation for a party of six. The restaurant serves a lunch buffet for $9.99. Before my group left for the restaurant, I called to ask if I would be able to order items off the regular menu, explaining that my severe food allergies would prevent me from eating the buffet dishes. The restaurant employee said I could order items off the menu, but I would have to pay the buffet price of $13.00 (this must be the cost of the buffet with tax). I told the employee that the only item I could eat from the menu is the nan bread which costs much less than $13.00 and again let him know that this was due to severe food allergies. The employee told me that I did not understand the concept of a business, they are trying to make money and they will not have me come in and spend $5.00 when they can have someone else come in a spend $13.00. The employee told me that they did not want to lose money because of me. Needless to say, my co-workers canceled the reservation and we did not taste the food, but I am sure it is bad.
The restaurant was a pleasant surprise! I expected a restaurant of French cuisine I visited many years before, and tried this one with my wife, nonetheless.
Best decision in years!
