The management at Indigo is a disgrace to people of Indian origin. Recently, a group of my fiance's friends and myself gathered for a Saturday night dinner. My fiance and his friends encountered at the bar two male Caucasians who were friends of the bartender. With no basis the two males who were clearly intoxicated called out racial slurs, among other derogatory words, to my fiance and friends. Further, when my fiance and friends verbally responded back, the two male Caucasians phycially assaulted my fiance and friends. Initially, the two male Caucasians were escorted outside of the restaurant. However, they continued to return to the restaurant and direct racially derogative terms at our group. To my dismay, the management, including the owner, continued to witness this and allowed the two male Caucasians to contaminate the atmosphere with their racial hatred. The police eventually came at our calling (not the management). As professionals, we are disappointed that a restaurant that strives to provide an upscale atmosphere for Desi and non-Desi patrons would allow the racial denigration of its Desi clientele. It is disgrace and should NOT be condoned by the Indian community. I encourage all to boycott this restaurant, if you have any integrity for being a Desi.
