This restaurant is a great find. I suggest you try it. They have outstanding food. Afghan food is exotic yet familiar. But they also have an American menu too. The hamburgers are Prime beef.

It's well worth exploring. The service is gracious. The prices are right. I see why they were written up well in the Daily Herald.

My husband and I saw a review of Kabul House in this week's Daily Herald. We've never eaten at an Afghan restaurant before, but thought it sounded interesting. You'd probably pass by and not realize that Kabul House is inside the Ramada Inn at the corner of Busse and Oakton in Elk Grove Village. We felt like world travelers when we walked in--the windows and walls and decorations were so foreign looking and beautiful. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious! Everything is handmade and had a unique blend of flavors. The presentation of the food is artistic and colorful. We loved the appetizer, soup, main dishes, and desserts. We'll definitely need to return!

Great food, with a very friendly owner/host. The Kabobs are amazing, as is the pumpkin appetizer. The seasoned rice is unique & so good! I've been waiting for years for them to re-open & here they are! Definately try it out!

Superb, authentic Afghan cuisine. I was deployed to Afghanistan and developed a real love for Afghan food. Kabul House delivers the goods.

The new location has only recently put up a sign. Go to the Ramada O'Hare - look for "Dearborn's", go in and just ask for the Kabul House menu. The dining room is still work in progress, but will be gorgeous when it is ready.

I've eaten there twice and was delighted both times. Abdul, the owner, is very gracious and welcoming. The Qabili Palau (seasoned rice with carrot slivers and raisins) with lamb is particularly good. Try the Mantoo also. The portions are well sized too.

I encourage anyone who is a fan of Greek or Indian food to try this surprisingly flavorful style of food, and Kabul House is the place to try it.
