The service has always been fine when I've been there. The food, by and large, is very good. Plus, it's not like you have a whole lot of choice in the Savannah Korean restaurant scene. The o ky way to get better Korean food is to make it yourself or drive 4 hours to Atlanta.
I've been eating at Carey Hilliards for the past 25 years...the food and service is ALWAYS great. And now they have the "value" menu so I can eat for about $5....and not be miserably full when I leave there. We ate at the one in pooler last night and

I've been eating Korean food for many years at home and in restaurants in NY, LA, and Atlanta and Kim Chi II is lacking in a few areas. First of all when Koreans visit a restaurant the first thing they look at is the side dishes. When you go to a Korean restaurant you are served small side dishes with your meal and they must look good, taste good and must change from time to time. At Kim Chi II the side dishes are always the same and there are never enough side dishes. In a good Korean restaurant they serve 5 to 8 side dishes and each time you visit there are a couple that change. The main course at Kim Chi II is average and most of the time salty. The service there is very good...the waitresses are very sweet and always friendly and never a problem communicating. Unfortunately it's the only show in town so I continue to go. I think if someone would open a Korean barbaque and invest a good chunk of money it would make a killing.

My fiance introduced me to Kim Chi 2 a year ago and we've been there almost every week since. I love the food it's always fresh and filling, the service is as good as it can get for Koreans, English is not their first language but they are a great help! The ambiance is great, it's clean and we get good food for the money. I think I'm gonna go there now!

Absolutely rude environment and does not know how to treat it's customers. My husband and I came across Kim Chi II while touring Savannah on a weekend trip. We decided to give this restaurant a shot, and found that although the food was decent (much of which I could make on my own at home), the service was ABSOLUTELY horrible! I do not know how long this place has been in business, but I would have to say that if I were a local and if this place were the only Korean restaurant, I would be willing to drive anywhere else to get my Korean food fix. We ordered two meals for 2 (equaling a 4-person dinner), and they were not accommodating in refilling our 2nd Coke, Rice, or an extra Kim Chi (all of which are complementary). The owner and waitresses gave us a hard time when it came to take out. Absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT EAT HERE.
It is the first best Korean restaurant that I learned, while I am residing in this area since 1996. I and my husband go there every weekend and enjoy great foods/services.
