I was visiting relatives in the area who introduced me to the Lakeway and for that introduction, I'm grateful. The Gateway is a warm, family run establishment with a varied menu serving food that is excellently prepared. There's solid offerings of Italian food to be had there as well as standard plates you'd find for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is great; in addition to the owners who're very friendly, Lakeway's regular customers are locals who add to the ambiance of the place. If you find yourself anywhwere nearby, go there!

This is an excellent restaurant with a great attitude. The food is not fancy but always delicious. The staff is friendly and knows how to keep customers satisfied. The Italian entrees are off the charts, and the Gorgonzola salad dressing is first-rate.
