Restaurant Description

Established as THE ORIGINAL "Variety Bar" in 1991, The Landing Eatery & Pub is the Northland's premier place to gather for great food and good times. Reflecting the personality of the customers "The Landing" continues to be the ultimate hangout for everyone.

Whether you are watching your favorite team on any of our High-Definition monitors or playing trivia with friends, you can fill up on any of our delicious selections from our extensive menu. Always a crowd favorite, our giant pork tenderloin is second to none, or our award winning hot wings (Voted best in K.C.- Kansas City Star) are sure to please.

The Landing has been described as the place where neighbors gather to talk about their day in a relaxed atmosphere, and indeed it is, however, on the weekends the energy escalates as we welcome local and national acts to our stage.

Call ahead and our friendly staff members would love to help you plan your next birthday, retirement or corporate party. No party too small!! Choose from our private, forty-person room affectionately known as "The Cave", or maybe our huge, open air patio. If your occasion is too large for us to host on our property, we can bring it to you!! We specialize in slow-smoked barbeque meats for all occasions.

Thanks, and have a great time!!

As local people of Liberty and patrons of this bar please take note. We have spent lots of time, lunches and happy hours at this local bar. It's a place that knew us personally and for them we will never step a foot back in.

Went to see the Chief's/Oakland game for my husband's birthday and showed up during the first half of the games for that day. When the Chiefs game started they put their best TV(Clearest and the biggest flat screen) on not the Chief's game but a Patriots Game. Asked for it to be changed because being a local Kansas City Sports Bar one would think all the large and best televisions would cater to the local sports market. Was told they had a few Patriots fans that wanted to see their game. One would have thought they could have put this game on one of the smaller televisions instead. I’m sure these Patriots fans spend lots of their time there and frequent their bar and service like the locals and regulars.

This bar not only lost our business after spending more than the several Patriots' fans would have for that day, but lost our business and hopefully any other who would like to see Local Sports.

This business needs CL COMPETITION! It's food is not good and service and care for their customer is not good. One can get better service at other places. If you want to smoke this is one of the only places left, but of course the only GOOD thing is you can smoke!!

The best kept secret in Liberty! It is always the best Italian food you can find anywhere! Very courteous wait staff. Just like going to you Italian mama's house to eat.
