I am being very generous in my evaluation, realizing that this is a well established and well loved restaurant of many decades and I am only one opinion. The restaurant is very lovely but always crowded, children are certainly accommodated but I would not call it "kid friendly", the waiters and waitresses are either too infrequent or they breathe down your neck (I have never found this in any other restaurant) and the food is simply average. The last time I visited was a few months ago, for a brunch with a friend. We ordered the eggs benedict. The eggs were totally overcooked and the Hollandaise sauce tasted as if it were out of a bottle. I'm no gourmet but can make a better dish at home. I find the place overpriced with no good reason other than their long reputation. I say go, as long as you are DYING for seafood and can get one of the tables facing the water, which is truly lovely.
