Nice atmosphere, good service, bad food. Everything had WAY too much garlic. Adding garlic to food doesn't make it Italian any more than pouring milk over it would've made it breakfast cereal.

Besides everything having too much garlic, the fish was grossly over cooked, the lasagna had too much sausage and didn't have any ricotta and the artichoke dip didn't taste like artichokes at all.

Good food is about balance - this food had no balance.

If you are on the hunt for cozy Italian food and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to go. The dishes are generous and they have these amazing drinks on a special menu that are designed just for them with some type of all natural ingredients and local spirits. Overall the service was fantastic and it has somehow taken a major turn for the better since my first visit. There are different seating options so you can get a lounge type feel or something quiet and romantic. Something for everyone. If you haven't been or been lately, give it a try.

Food is very good particulary the dishes that are similiar to the dishes served at la Cantina in paw paw. Unfortunately, the wait staff needs further training and it is always a bit of a mystery as to what they may be offering on the menu due to constant changes. -- this adds to the uncertainness of the wait staff and also very confusing when you place a carryout order. better organization and training overall is needed. I would give them another try, but would not take a large group as wait is too long.
