Took my wife to Mary Mahoney's for a surprise birthday dinner. Three couples met us there. Mahoney's secured the flowers I wanted for my wife. The service was outstanding and so was the food. I have never been disappointed at Mary Mahoney's.

I was born in New Orleans and raised on the Mississippi Coast. I was served the worst gumbo here that I have ever tasted in my life. I have eaten better seafood in Eureka, CA. The food is awful.

The appetizer was very good but expensive for what amounted to 4 small pieces of bread with very little crabmeat on them and provolone cheese melted on top. We ordered the special which was a 7 oz filet with crabmeat and mashed potatoes and steamed v ...

I have eaten at this restaurant with a group on a few occasions and also on my own with a couple of friends, on every occasion the food has been excellent and the service wonderful as well. weather they were having a slower night or were extreamly busy we were always treated special and made to feel very welcome. The gumbo is great and the sisters of the sea is beyond terrific as is all of the dishes i ahve tried there. I always look forward to dining there whenever i get the chance and i really miss their sidewalk cafe as well with the wonderful poboys, beniets and 24 hour breakfasts, yum! a great place to impress out of town guests.

We just returned from a weekend in Biloxi and went to Marys for lunch..I knew about this restaurant..but had not been there and was glad to hear it made it thru afte the storm...seeing the pictures of what they did to bring back this restaurant is nothing short of blood, sweat and tears..It was amazing reading all the heritage that is there.and oh yes, the food...the gumbo is great!! (a lil salty for my taste but yummy.) I had delicious crab cakes- and the bread pudding is very good..The whiskey sauce is what makes it!! - and it does have raisins in it...I even got the recipe!!The server couldnt have been any better..I was thrilled to eat there and enjoy the history at the same time...Hope your experience is a memorable as ours..PS Biloxi has a long way to get back to what it was...its a shame to see so much history just washed away....seems Marys was spared being totally demolished..I hope everyone goes back there..must still be a purpose that it remains as others businesses were simply swept away with no choice to rebuild..I even bought the book to read more about this establishment and its beginnings..We loved it!!

the food here is simply just awful, who cares if president bush has his picture there, what matters is how they treat everday people who pay for their food, all the while saying to themselves I will never go back, complaining did no good. The owner doesn't care, he's made his money.

if you are a member of the red hats society, the owner will make you feel like a second class citizen and not even offer you a menu. We were offered the fantastic five, which the waiter could not even remember for a flat $20, everything included, then we were charge full prices plus an 18% tip. The prime rib wasn't even edible. I will never return. And a new bread pudding recipe is certainly needed, maybe a few raisins would help. I paid almost $24 for lunch, that is ridiculous.

We have been dining there since 1976. We lived in Ocean Springs for 3 years then moved. Food and service have always been excellent. My wife and I always go out of our way when traveling just to dine there. We have taken many of our friends there when on outings to Biloxi for golf or to visit the casinos. They all say the food and service were excellent and we all love the great atmosphere. Mary then, and now her son have always stopped to say hello and ask how everything is. When we have a lot of couples dining together, they normally try to put us in private area so we can enjoy ourselves. We have always had a great time at Mary Mahoneys. Its a superb place to go dine and we highly recommend it. Comments by Bruce & Linda Tipton

Mary Mahoney's is a tradition and I never miss the opportunity to dine here while in Biloxi. Their signature entrees are superb and with a large variety there should be something for everyone. Don't miss their Bread Pudding! Service has always been spectacular.
