The vision for Matty's Downtown was conceived in 1995. While attending Clemson University we were lucky enough to work at Niffer's Place, a restaurant that provided much of the inspiration for our menu, our mission and our customer service.

We are committed to offering you great food, exceptional service and value in a fun atmosphere. We aim to be a good neighbor and are eager to be a part of the rebirth and renewed spirit of downtown Anderson.

Oh yeah, and if you ever find yourself in Alabama be sure to visit our good friends at Niffer's Place in Auburn and Niffer's on the Lake on Lake Martin. They continue to serve up a pretty mean burger and their service remains legendary.
