Miya's Sushi of New Haven is a food lover's paradise. Nothing that you will have here to eat you will have tried anywhere else. The homemade sakes, often made from wild ingrdients as sumac and pine, are to die for. Owner and Chef, Bun Lai, is a world class talent.
Akasaka is a run of the mill Japanese Restaurant. If you want a cucumber or a tuna roll than this place is fine, but don't expect high quality or artistry.
Excellent Sushi, I go often and am never let down. Service is great, staff is very friendly. A great place to bring your family or friends. Clean and nicely decorated.

Akasaka makes very good Japanese food in a beautiful restaurant decorated with lots of mahogony. It is the winner of a Connecticut Magazine Award for "best Japanese Restaurant". I go there often because they do a wonderful job and I live near by.

The food is so amazing and orgasmic that you won't even care that the service is slow. It is my favorite restaurant in New Haven!
