Nothing special here. The dining room resembles a paneled basement from 1975, including warped, waterstained, and moldy panels. Sticky vinyl tablecloths are a nice touch, though. The food is remarkable only for its' lack of creativity and presentation. Too much marinara, too much cheese. I can't tell if there is anything seasoned under there. Just bland pasta. You can do better in your own kitchen.
The palates in Tallahassee must be numb, because this place has been fooling this town into thinking it's good, for years. Save yourself the trip. Anything good about it? There's a nice Chianti on the menu.

We ate outside near the wood fire and that was very pleasant. The food was excellent, but much too very pricy for the amount of food that was served. Our service was extremely poor - we were with a group but almost the only ones in the restaurant.

This is classic Tallahassee dining at it's finest. Mom & Dad's is a Tallahassee institution, serving up fine Southern Italian cuisine which is first rate. No one can hold a candle to Diane (Mom Violante's fine marinara sauce. Eggplant Rollatini is divine. Ambiance is quaint at best, but boy the food is out of this world.
