In a city famous for barbecue, the Moonlite Bar-B-Q Inn ranks as the cities most famous restaurant. Magizines as varied as Southernliving, Money, and Gormat praise the Moonlite's Buffet, and now I wil too!!! Skip the menu and head straight for the buffet. Don't forget to try the Mutton and Burgoo, local specialties I have not found anywhere else in the world.
The wait staff is informal and treats you like family, Moonlite makes you feel at home, just with 350 other people.

Under new owners, Jason and Mitzi Shuler, the restaurant is becoming a major player in the bbq business of Owensboro. Moonlite and Old Hickory may have the name, but Ole South has the food that is just as good or better than the others.
